Thrift Shop
History
The Safe Haven Thrift Shop, 82-H Bennett Square, Southbury is open Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The shop carries clothing and shoes for women as well as house wares and furniture.

Volunteers
The Thrift Shop relies on volunteers to operate. Volunteers work in three-hour shifts from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to sort & price items, merchandising and sales.
“Volunteering at the Thrift Shop is a great way to make friends, get bargains and help a good cause.”
All proceeds from the Shop support the programs of Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury.
If you are interested in donating or volunteering, please contact Susan McNeil at 203.267.5727.

Donations
The Thrift Shop accepts used clothing and shoes for women, purses, household items, and small appliances (in good working condition). The Shop will also accept furniture upon approval.
Due to the very high cost of dumping fees, the Thrift Shop cannot accept:
Exercise equipment, tires, computers & accessories, mattresses, car seats, large children’s toys, paint cans, large appliances, skis, men’s clothing & men’s shoes.
Donations may be dropped off Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or by appointment.
